Chateau Wyuna is located in the Yarra Valley, at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. We are a unique wedding venue since we are easily accessible off a main road, but with the tucked-away feeling of a venue up in the mountains. With the nearest accommodation a 500m walk away, we can easily become a destination wedding venue for you and your guests to stay overnight right near the reception space.
At Chateau Wyuna, we don’t just have one or two main photo opportunities like other Melbourne wedding venues, we have an endless selection of spots for you and your guests to be photographed in. Some notable spots at our venue that are common for photos include Waterfall, Gazebo, Footbridge, Heritage-listed Chapel, Heritage-listed 1920’s Log Cabin, 6 acres of gardens, Outdoor fairy lights, Olinda Creek (runs through property).
Our gardens also offer amazing backdrops all year round, with something different to show in each season. This is why we are such a popular wedding ceremony venue in Melbourne, as we offer a range of options, all with great photo opportunities. Our two outdoor wedding ceremony options include the Waterfall, which is a backdrop in itself, and the Garden Terrace, a wonderful, open outdoor ceremony space with room for up to 150 guests.
At Chateau Wyuna, we offer venue hire, where you can hire our reception hall, and bring in your own external catering to suit your unique and individual wedding or event. We also allow you to use our decorations, centrepieces, linen, cutlery and plates even when simply hiring the reception hall. This is what makes us a unique wedding venue, as we include as much as possible in our packages, so you don’t have to run around organising every single little detail. Our wedding hall hire also includes a coordinator for the day, and a kitchen hand to help your catering staff. There is then the option to add on our floor or bar staff to help serve and clear food and drinks, if your caterer cannot provide their own staff.
Unlike other wedding venues in Melbourne, we do not charge venue hire or a ceremony fee with our normal wedding packages. It’s entirely your choice if you’d like the full wedding package, or if you’d like to just hire the wedding hall or ceremony space separately.

Our Treetop Room is then a great place to have a small reception, with a capacity of 70. This means your guests can sit amongst panoramic tree views, creating an intimate backdrop for smaller receptions, both for lunch and evening weddings. The Treetop Room also has a wrap around balcony, with views of our 6 acres of gardens. We are unique in the fact we only host one wedding at a time, so your guests have access to the full property for the duration of the event, even at small weddings.
